Carole Boyce, Gwinnett County School Board


Carole C. Boyce serves as board member representing District 1 on the Gwinnett County Board of Education. She is an active volunteer with Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful,  Leadership Gwinnett, ArtWorks! Gwinnett, and the United Way. As a member of the Gwinnett County Board of Education and former teacher, she has observed firsthand what a tremendous impact the arts have on developing young minds.

Amy Bray, Chair, Rubin Lublin, LLC


Amy Bray is an attorney at Rublin Lublin, LLC.  She focuses on community association law, specifically drafting the governing documents for homeowners, condominium, and commercial associations, including mixed use, “green”, and age-restricted community documents.  She has experience with “green building” issues in both development and community association contexts. She has been named a Georgia SuperLawyer “Rising Star” and a Georgia SuperLawyer by Law and Politics and Atlanta Magazine many timesAmy was an integral part of the team responsible for negotiating and closing the purchase of the Beltline by one of the firm’s clients (Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “Deal of the Year 2004”) and was involved in its sale to another development entity in late 2007 (the sale was listed in Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “Deal Makers” list, March 2008). Amy has authored and edited articles in a number of publications, from the Gwinnett Business Journal to the Community Association Institute’s Common Ground magazine.  In 1998 she was admitted to the Georgia Bar. She earned her JD from Emory University in 1998 and a BA in political science from the UGA in 1995. She serves as a director of the Georgia Piedmont Land Trust, which preserves natural open spaces in the Georgia Piedmont. She has participated in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training and Light the Night programs, completing a half marathon in 2002.

Jonathan Holmes Partner and CFO, Mighty 8th Media, has managed a marketing and public relations consulting firm in Gwinnett County for seven years and understands the ‘lay of the land’ on all levels. Jonathan believes passionately in finding a mission for each client that enhances their business, advances their goals and yet strengthens the community in the process.  Jonathan’s expertise revolves around public and media relations, non-profit management and strategic planning. Jonathan has more than 25 years proven experience developing, managing and implementing comprehensive marketing, business development and community relations programs.  He offers a diverse range of experience in both public and private sectors and across multiple industries including accounting and finance, non-profit development and fundraising, special event management and more.

Suzanne Holtkamp, Holtkamp Heating & Air

After receiving her B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech in 1990, Suzanne moved to Atlanta to pursue a career in advertising. She was in account services for Austin Kelley Advertising and Fahlgren Martin, working on accounts such as Doral Hotels and Resorts, Honda Power Equipment, Nicklaus Golf, and ATP Tour (Men’s professional tennis tour).

In 1995, she and Matthew founded Holtkamp Heating & Air Conditioning which allowed Suzanne to grow her passion for working within and serving the local community. She has served as a past Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, retreat leader and catechist for Prince of Peace Catholic Church (POP) and was a member of the original Building Commission for POP.

Suzanne currently serves on the Public Arts Commission for the city of Suwanee, the Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center Foundation Board, and most recently the Artworks Gwinnett Board. As an avid supporter of the arts, Suzanne cherishes her volunteer work with the Aurora Theatre and various local dance and drama programs.  She is a past recipient of the first ever “Heritage Keepers Award” from the EHC and Volunteer of the Year for ArtWorks Gwinnett.

In 2005, Suzanne undertook her most ambitious project to date, designing and building an energy- efficient, “green” home with products that Holtkamp Heating & Air recommends to its customers. The home currently uses 1/8 the normal energy usage of a home of comparable size and features solar water heating, rain water reclamation, and passive heating. A crazed gardener and chicken “keeper”; Suzanne is a perpetual hostess; there’s always a party at the Holtkamp House!

Alan Kaplan, A New Beginning Estate Liquidation Company


Alan Kaplan is President/CEO of A New Beginning Estate Liquidation Company and is a Certified Personal Property Appraiser. He grew up in an Air Force family and has a diverse work background in Government, Corporate, and Small Business environments. He spent half of his career as a Special Agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and graduated first in his class in Special Agent Basic Training. He led several high profile investigations and enjoyed assignments with the FBI, Secret Service, and U.S. State Department.

After a successful career with the GBI, Alan went to work with Home Depot in Corporate Loss Prevention. As a Senior Manager, he created Home Depot’s first eCommerce fraud prevention program and was responsible for Loss Prevention for all of Home Depot’s diversified companies throughout the U.S.

While travelling abroad on a mission trip, he met his wife with whom he started a family business together doing professional estate sales and appraisals. He enjoys the flexibility that his business provides so that he can spend time with their two young boys and serve his community.

He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia and currently serves as a member of the Planning Commission for the City of Peachtree Corners. He is a graduate of Leadership Gwinnett and is very active in many organizations and programs that support our schools and community.

Eddie Long and his full service CPA firm, Napoli & Long, LLC, CPAs, provide accounting,  auditing, tax, and consulting services to individuals, small businesses, and not-for-profit organizations.  Eddie has been in public accounting for his entire 22 year career.  His practice has been in Gwinnett County for 14 years.  A significant part of Eddie’s practice involves auditing and consulting for not-for-profit organizations.  He understands the accounting and financial reporting challenges not-for-profit organizations face and has helped many organizations address those challenges.  Eddie serves as President of the Board of Trustees of the North Gwinnett Schools Foundation and also serves on the Board of Directors of the Heroes First Foundation.  He  is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  He is a graduate of the Leadership Gwinnett class of 2012-2013.  Eddie and his family have lived in Suwanee since 2003.

Nick Masino, Vice President of Economic Development, oversees the business recruitment and retention efforts for Gwinnett County as well as the implementation of the Partnership Gwinnett Strategy. Prior to his role in economic development, Masino spent 12 years in the recruiting, headhunting and staffing industry both in Metro Atlanta and throughout the U.S. Masino worked with various business models from entrepreneurial ventures to Fortune 100 companies, managing multi-million dollar efforts focused on recruitment in the areas of IT, Finance and General Business. Masino also served the citizens of Suwanee, GA, as Mayor from 2000-2007 leading the city to receive over 30 national, regional and local awards, including its most recent and highest honor as the 2007 Money Magazine 10th Best Small Town in America. Masino earned his B.A. in Communications from The Ohio State University.

On the business side, AlphaGraphics has been the focus of Jodi’s work life for the last nine years. AlphaGraphics is a full service communication company providing marketing ideas, design, copy, print, mailing and promotional product services. Prior to owning AlphaGraphics, Jodi was a regional sales manager for the mutual fund arm of AIG, a large insurance concern in New York and was a Certified Public Accountant and worked as a tax advisor to personal and business clients of Ernst & Young.  She also headed trust operations of several national, regional and local banking organizations.  She is active in various business groups including the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce Chairmen’s Club and Business Network International.  Jodi is also very active in various social and charitable groups.
